It offers HES-SO Bachelors courses in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Midwifery and Medical Radiology Techniques. It also offers a wide range of continuing education and postgraduate courses, and works in partnership with the University of Lausanne (UNIL) to offer masters degrees in health sciences and nursing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every year, HESAV conducts more than fifty scientific projects on major health issues: ageing well, mental health, community health, health technologies, inter-professional collaboration, health inequalities, chronic disease management, etc. As a university of applied sciences, it creates major synergies between research, training and service provision. As such, it conducts numerous applied research projects with health institutions and clinical settings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Physical activity and sport are one of the key areas of research and teaching at HESAV. As a key tool for promoting health and sustainable health, movement is approached through the benefits of physical activity on health, the social representations associated with sport, the body and health, care and rehabilitation, for all audiences and all stages of life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the Engineering &amp; Health platform, HESAV works closely with the Vaud School of Engineering and Management (HEIG-VD) on joint projects in the fields of health, engineering and management.
